Renewco and Texla announce new strategic partnership

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Texla Renovables to develop green hydrogen projects in Southern Spain.

Our new strategic alliance with Texla Renovables will aim to develop green hydrogen projects throughout Adalucia, Spain.

Green hydrogen is a key element in the global transition towards a more sustainable economy, offering a crucial approach to decarbonization and a real alternative to fossil fuels.

Spain has a clear position and a roadmap for renewable hydrogen with plans to install at least 4GW of electrolyzers by 2030. Andalusia joins the development of this new energy landscape, consolidating its position as a national energy center and globally as the main hub for exporting green hydrogen throughout Europe.

Pedro Perejón, Business Development Director at Renewco Power Spain, explains: "This important alliance with Texla Renovables to co-develop the production of green hydrogen and derivatives in Spain forms part of our existing strategy of Renewco’s renewable energy project platform, adding to the existing projects of solar, wind, and storage."

For Roland Bettscheider, founding partner of Texla Renovables, one of the main attractions of hydrogen is its versatility, with applications ranging from industry, transport, and energy storage as a clean and renewable fuel, to domestic use. “Hydrogen is key, as it allows doing the same as with natural gas in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way,” he added.

Stay tuned for more updates on our partnership with Texla.
