In addition, green hydrogen production from renewable sources allows countries to reach their energy independence, reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels.

We aim to create a sustainable energy future with zero carbon emissions, not only reducing our environmental footprint but also fuelling economic growth and enhancing energy security worldwide. Green hydrogen demand in Europe needs to profit from the abundant solar and wind resources in the Iberian Peninsula. Backed by robust political support and an evolving regulatory framework, we are confident that Spain will emerge as the main production hub of Europe. We are creating a comprehensive Spanish ecosystem to position it as the main exporter of green molecules to cover all the European demand, not only in terms of green hydrogen, but also in green e-fuels and derivatives.

This acquired experience allows us to strategically consider the most attractive locations for originating more green hydrogen opportunities aligned with our decarbonisation objectives, benefiting our local where we are already developing other renewable projects and exploring opportunities in new areas for Renewco.   

There is still a long way to go and significant development across the entire value chain, but one thing is clear: we need to take action. Green hydrogen will play a crucial role in building a more sustainable world, and we are committed to pursuing this sustainable future.
